The pride of Scandia..

is Daniel Nannskog, or Johan Andersson... or Pontus Farnerud. But nevermind, for now its Timbuktu. His contribution for today is one of my top three summer anthems this year for sure. On the recieving end of this musical left hook is his former manager, who turned out to be... well, an asshole really. This is off his newest album "Sagolandet", which dropped June 8th. Enjoy.

"Resten av ditt liv" her altså. Kos dere!

Backstreet Boys

Ja. Kos dere.

Elementary school's memory lane

Oasis.

Busta Rhymes - Put Your Hands...

Ever since I dug out the old g-funk for the summer last year, like I do every year, I have been surfing on a mid 90's rap-wave. Meeting guys with the same love for "old" rap/hip hop when I started at the University has done nothing to prevent this. Why did all the best rap records come out between 92 and 98?

Goodie Mob

Back again, with some southern rap. From their classic album Soul Food, here is Cell Therapy and The Day After:

Blame it on the boogie

Having a music blog these days and not mention Jacko is like eating a muffin without frosting. I have been gone for the last weeks in Tønsberg and Kragerø, right after spending the whole night watching CNN and the development as Michael was at the hospital and the hours after his death.

Because of that this post might seem a bit overdue, I just haven't gotten around to it.
I thought long and hard about which song to include. The night of his death I was talking to a friend. Neither of us could name a favourite song, there was too many to choose from. I have managed to narrow it down to a tie between Thriller, Rock With You, Human Nature and Don't Stop Till You Get Enough.

In spite of this I came to the conclusion that the only right thing to do for me was to end it all with the same thing that started it. The first song I remember. I was six years old when Dangerous came out, and the first song I remember was this one. Not his best work by far, but not his worst either.

yaaaaaaaawn...

The blog's been hibernating while I had some finals, and overslept a month into the summer vacation. A while ago I posted Pnau & Ladyhawke's Miami-during-summer-ish song Embrace, remixed by Fred Falke and Miami Horror. I guess youtube removed it, so this is a repost, kinda. A live version of the orginal song, featuring the singer of Bridezilla on vocals.
